How to compare market narratives without getting trapped by a headline

A headline compresses a complicated story into one sentence. A better process reconstructs the evidence behind it.

Find the underlying fact

Look for the original release, filing or data point whenever possible.

Identify interpretation

Separate what the source actually showed from the explanation attached to it.

Look for disconfirming evidence

Ask what would weaken the narrative instead of only seeking confirmation.

Keep uncertainty visible

Future outcomes are uncertain. Good research does not hide that.
